I had THE strangest thing happen. Ive been documenting my pregnancy tests for all three of my kids. I want to see what ya’ll think.

Kid 1: had no idea i was pregnant. Nosy coworker was like.’c “hey, are you ok? Youve been peeing a lot, you are munchy, and your cheeks are flushed and you have a pale face.” Flabbergasted me ran to CVS and bought a test. Clear as day...probably 2-4 days past when period was due.

Kid 2: similar story. Skipped period, extreme fatigue prompted me to test. FRER was instant pink line.

Kid 3: actually TTC this one, had romantic evening at a secluded cabin, 1 week later i test and thats where i first witnessed this phenomenon. My FRER was plum negative around 8-9 dpo. 11-12 dpo I witnessed a flash of pink...that remained for 10 minutes and then disappeared. Day of AF missing, test was faint positive. No biggie.

Until today.

Im TTC #4. Typical symptoms..nothing out of the ordinary. So, im within 2-3 days of AF. Ive been experimenting with different brands and possibly simple “signs” that could point to a future positive.

Since 7-8 dpo ive taken a cheap test and i was able to get donations of a few nicer tests for research. Every day I document how the test behaves during the crucial 1-3 minute wait...

Up until today, i would either get negative straight up, or an evap line.

This happened this morning....

I took a FRER, a 1 dollar walmart, and a clear blue.

ALL THREE DID THE EXACT SAME THING.

Im 11 DPO..ish...+/- a day.

So, each test presented a faint, colored line for around the duration of the test...then it disappeared after the testing window.

Enquiring minds want to know if this has happened to anyone else and were you actually pregnant?

My theory is this:

You can nail down an incoming positive test by watching the most sensitive test work. First you might see a flash if white as the urine passes...then 2 days later a gray or color flash as the urine passes..then this goofy magician line that self fades after the testing window...and then a nice faint line near AF, or even a pronounced line at AF.

Have i gone off the deep-end? This is pregnancy #2 possibly this has happened.
