Hi everyone, wondering if anyone has had a similar experience or any advice! After my baby girl's 6 month appointment on Sep 14th (she did get her scheduled vaccines and first flu shot that day) she became very congested and we ended up back at the doctor and they said she had bronchiolitis. She was on a nebulizer first just saline but her cough got worse and she had a fever, so then the doctor prescribed an antibiotic and she did albuterol in the nebulizer for a few days. After that her cough sounded better and overall she she was acting ok, but continued to have nasal and chest congestion so I brought her back to the doctor 2 weeks later and they said her lungs were clear and everything looked good, and that I can continue the nebulizer with saline daily to help with the lingering cough. Well now it's been over a month and she STILL has a cough and has had a runny nose for the past 2 weeks. I tried calling the triage line at her doctors office Friday to see if we should bring her back in but they didn't return my call and I'm going to call again tomorrow and likely ask for an appt anyway because I'm worried that this is still going on for over a month!! We try the nebulizer daily but she fights it and pushes it away and starts crying. We use saline nose spray, nose frida, baby Vicks, steam vaporizer at night (out of her reach of course)...but everyday she continues to have a phlegmy cough. She does not have labored breathing but sometimes does sound a little out of breath when playing. I'm just worried that the doctor will tell me everything looks fine again and the cough continue. Any advice appreciated! Sorry this is so long! Oh also, I cancelled her appt for her second flu shot for now bc I don't know if that is related and/or will make things worse!
