Does delivering a baby hurt?

I’m 2 months pregnant and all I can think about is being in immense pain delivering the baby. I’m going to get an epidural but is pushing a baby out the worst pain in the world or do you honestly not feel anything because of the epidural? I’ve heard both. Just want other people’s opinions.

Go on YouTube and search easy birth blog! I know some deliveries aren’t easy and can be scary and painful, but just seeing that so many have been easy and quick for lots of women made me feel so much better. Anything is possible 💕 I was SUPER anxious and scared about the pain when I first got pregnant but after watching some videos and feeling the joy with them when their baby came out, it totally took my anxiety away.

They shut the epidural off when it was almost time for me to push so I felt everything lol yes it is the worst pain in the world but so worth it. And it’s like instant relief once you get the head and shoulders out - then the rest of the baby just slides out. Luckily I only had to push for like 10 minutes though I can’t imagine being one of those who had to push for hours

Start with hypnobirthing. It's all about the fear tension pain cycle... so the more calm you are, the less pain you feel. I had back labour for 7 hours and although I can say it hurt, I never felt like it was something I couldn't handle because I stayed calm and used low moans to help release any tension. When I was 10 cm the back labour disappeared and I felt amazing, let baby come down the birth canal and helped her out a bit, zero tearing. Also the best way to reduce pain is to move around, so make sure you turn a care provider that doesn't  want to strap you to a bed. I got the heart monitor that went on baby's head so I could still move... baby was birthed in a squatting position.

I didn’t feel anything with the epidural but some people say the epidural wears off before the baby comes. I didn’t have time to get the epidural with my 2nd daughter so don’t get your heart completely set on the epidural because you never know lol. I will tell you that the contractions themselves and getting the shoulders out hurt the absolute worst! Pushing actually eases the pain. Try not to think about it too much because it’s obviously going to happen anyway and when it’s all done you get to hold your little baby :) so it’s worth it.

I just had my baby a week ago, and my epidural didn’t work, and honestly the only thing that hurt were the contractions, and I only had extremely painful ones for about an hour before I started pushing, and the pushing was such a big relief, I didn’t feel any pain for that, it was like it was relieving pressure. And I was so in the moment with the adrenaline and everything that I didn’t really feel myself tear or anything, at least not till a few minutes after he was born and I came to my senses lmao. But everyone’s different, and I’m sure with an actual working epidural the pains way easier to handle, the contractions were so bad that I was basically disoriented and I puked 3 times from them.

The contractions were worse than the pushing and delivery. It definitely hurts but not as bad as I was expecting it too.

For me pushing wasn't worst but the contractions were horrible. While pushing I just kept thinking that it'll be all over soon and i didn't feel that much pain. Also my doctor wouldn't let me get another dose epidural before pushing because she said that I wouldn't be able to push.
