I’m pretty sure I have some kind of upper respiratory infection. My husband just had one and he was given an antibiotic. But I’m nursing my 14 month old. I went to the doctor for an infected toe a few months ago, I told the doctor I was breastfeeding, he said he was pretty sure I could take the antibiotic he prescribed. I asked the pharmacist when I went to get it filled and they said absolutely not I could not take it while breastfeeding. Written right on the package. Anyways am I wasting my time going to the doctor if he’s just going to prescribe me a medication I can’t take?
