And it applies to everyone. The only prerequisite you need to have white privilege is to be white. So, are you white? Congratulations, you have white privilege, no if’s, and’s, or but’s about it.

• White people cannot experience racism

Since whites are the majority in the US, they cannot face racism. Oppressors cannot be oppressed. What whites CAN face is prejudice, and there’s a big difference between the two. So before you go spreading that someone was racist to your white friend Sally, remember that it’s literally not possible and you now sound very uneducated. Next.

• BLM movement is not anti-whites.

All POC are trying to say is “we matter too”. That is why WLM and ALM protests are so harmful, because for the millionth time whites are silencing POC and their struggles, because heaven forbid the spotlight is on anyone else but white people, right?

Yes this is aggressive. No I won’t apologize for it. I’m really sick of the way that POC are treated, and what’s even worse is 75% of the opinions I hear on these issues are based on “facts” that aren’t even true. So, if what you stand for is based on an idea that white privilege doesn’t exist, or white people can experience racism, or that the BLM movement is taking the spotlight/selfish/anti-whites, you need to re-evaluate, because none of that is true.

So if you’re reading this thinking “I knew this already, what’s new?” Thank you for taking your time to actually understand it. You’d be surprised how many people (on this app especially) don’t, and furthermore refuse to try.
