I had my October baby!!!
I can’t believe I just had the most adorable, prefect, and precious little girl! I was due October 26 but our little Paisley decided to have her own birthday and come four days later! (we would have shared a birthday). I started having contractions at 1:30 am on October 30th. They were ten minutes apart and the worst period like cramps I ever had! Luckily I had an appointment he next morning with my doctor so I figured I would wait until then to ask him if this was really happening. He checked me and told me I was 90-100% thinned out and dilated 3cm already! He bet that I’d have my baby that night or Tuesday.
I went home, my husband was at work and I started to do some light cleaning, trying to keep my mind off the immense pain. Finally I couldn’t take it anymore and laid down and really started timing them again. Five minutes apart and lasting a whole minute! It was finally hospital time.
We got to the hospital and sure enough I was dilated to a 5+ in just a few hours. I was admitted, I was going to go home with a baby! Once I was admitted I begged for the epidural. It was so painful and I’d been battling these horrible contractions since 1 am. Epidural worked miracles! I give you mommas who go without one some serious credit. I don’t know how you do it.
Just a few hours after I was admitted I was already dilated to a 7+. Things were moving fast! Everyone was surprised that as a FTM I was going into natural labor without pitocin. Several more hours later and it was time to push!!
And I seriously only pushed for like 30 minutes. It all happened so fast! Before I knew it the doctor was holding up my precious baby, showing her off to the world. I was instantly in love.
I love my Paisley Leia so much! I can’t believe how precious she is. I feel like mine and my husbands life is so much more complete now. We love you!!
