Nursing still?

Hi! Anyone still nursing? Anyone wean their baby? Tell me how it went and what you did!

my child is addicted to the boob. as soon as I get home from work she starts pulling my shirt down. I try to distract her as long as possible, but we still nurse to sleep and nap time on my days off.

Got pregnant and I think the tase changed and she doesn’t love it anymore only nurse sometimes now. It’s great to have my body “back” lol 😂 and by back I mean growing another baby and not having to feed one too.

Quinn is getting his molars and nursing like a beast!  I tried to wean during the day, but he really needs it for comfort from those teeth coming in.

We are still nursing every 3 hours during day and still 1-2 at night - I tried taking away just one feeding for 3 days & he got super fussy & I got clogged ducts - help 😩

still nursing 14 1/2 months, mostly evenings/nights/mornings but weekends or any other day off work I nurse on demand also during day, usually during naps. Eats everything as it is served for the rest of family (never mashed or chopped anything special for LO), sometimes not hungry if nursed not long before but will stay by table and taste, try texture etc exploring (while rest of us eating) which is also great for development:)

Okay I wanted to update! I posted around the beginning of November that I was still nighttime nursing my son. Well I finally got him weaned on December 8th. I had originally planned on weaning him over the Christmas holiday but impulsively decided to do it a bit early. My son was 15 months and 3 weeks. Like I said before I’m not a fan of CIO in the traditional sense of leaving them alone to cry until they self sooth so I wanted to find another way to deal with the weaning process. I ended up telling him, at his normal 7pm nursing, that the milkies went bye bye. He knows what this means so he understood but man was he MAD! He did cry for probably 30 minuets but I basically held him and provided comfort until he calmed down and decided to snuggle and fall asleep. I think he wore himself out. He woke up twice more, once at midnight and once at about 5am wanted to nurse. Those went well for the most part. I told him the milkies went bye bye again and climbed into his crib with him so he could hold on to my arm until he fell asleep. I noticed that he was pretty clingy when he realized he wasn’t getting it so the snuggling I think helped replace the comfort/security part of that. Amazingly enough, he didn’t even really ask for it the second night at all and just snuggled in and fell asleep. It was seriously a miracle 🙏🏻 he weaned after one night!! I think waiting until he understood what I was saying really helped though & replacing the nursing with something of equal comfort.

I️ night weaned around 11-12 months. He wasn’t STTN and I️ had had it. So after a few days he started going from 7PM-7AM.
Once we got that down, I️ started cutting feeds 1 by 1. We cut his bedtime feed and replaced with a sippy cup first. So he would be able to run around with it/read books with daddy etc. I️ found this the easiest one to cut for our family because my son is high energy and didn’t like to nurse when a lot was going on so he would be very distracted after our bedtime routine. 
About a week later I️ cut his afternoon nursing. Then we only hung on to two sessions: right when he woke up in the morning and before nap time. Did that for a while. He was about 13 months by then. 
Then, I️ cut the nap time session. And hung on to the morning for another week or 2. 
He was completely weaned by 14 months. 
I️ did it very slowly so I️ never got engorged or had any pain. I’m very glad with how I️ chose to do it. I’m pregnant so I’m glad to have my body focused on providing nutrients to my unborn baby and not having to eat for all three of us and worry if I’m getting enough. 
I️ personally didn’t want to tandem nurse. I️ also wanted to wean before he could fully understand it and like pull my shirt down in public, that’s just me though. 
I will say that after about a week of not nursing at all, I️ felt overwhelmingly sad about it. That only lasted a couple days and probably has to do with pregnancy hormones haha

I’m currently weaning my 15 month old son. I’m 11 weeks pregnant and it KILLS my nipples to nurse. I️ had cut off the morning feeds first and got him down to just once before bed every night. Now I️’m at once every two nights just so I️ don’t get engorged. I’ll slowly cut it down more and more.

Still nursing too, 14 1/2 months! We are down to just once after dinner and then once in the middle of the night. All day times are gone pretty much unless he’s not feeling good. I am struggling with weaning him but I haven’t tried to REALLY wean him yet so ideas would be good! I’m not a fan of CIO so it’s been interesting looking for alternatives.
