I was induced-positive story!
well it's been almost 6 weeks, but since I'm wide awake at 430am, might as well. I still can't believe she's here. I was 41 weeks pregnant and so done. I was supposed to be induced sept. 22nd, but they were so busy I didn't get in until the morning of the 23rd. 7am to be exact. the first couple hours consisted of checking in, and getting my iv started (since I was groupie strep positive). my water was broke around 945am. we waited to see what would happen. only light contractions. so they said I could start pitocin whenever I wanted. I was nervous because I heard all the horror stories... but I started pitocin at around 1245pm. I didn't start feeling anything until around 2pm. then my labor took off. they actually took me off the pitocin since my body just started doing its thing. but I will say... I had the worst back labor. contractions were 1 min and a half part to every two mins... and I was still at 3cm every time they checked! so I'm not ashamed to say around 330pm I got the epidural. the epidural was a little painful going in, actually very uncomfortable, since I was feeling everything in my back anyways. but once it kicked in...heaven. I couldn't sleep but I rested up. my fiancé was with me, so my mother in law came to visit. I wasn't feeling a thing which was great, because apparently my contractions were getting even longer. at around 5pm-6pm I was 5cm dilated. my doctor figured she'd deliver me sometime in the early morning. so she wasn't there. then it all happened so fast...my baby girl was sunny side up so we tried some tricks with the peanut ball to get her to flip around. no such luck. I was feeling a good amount of pressure. dull pressure, with the epidural still doing its job. I felt like I had to poop, and kept talking to my mother in law.
