How to drop hints that I want a ring?

My boyfriend and I have been in a wonderful, loving relationship for two years and 10 months now. We are absolutely perfect for each other and I think we've had 3-4 fights (that weren't even over anything huge) within our relationship. One thing is, I can't seem to get him to pop the question. I have a little promise ring from our one year anniversary, but I want more. I've been showing him cute engagement photos that I see on instagram or whatever and he goes "oh yeah that's cute." Any advice from you ladies? Or am I just being selfish?

not selfish at all. i would honestly have a very straight up conversation with him about it. men don't take hints easily I've found. when my husband brought it up he literally just said "I'm ready to get married and settle down when you are." He was 35 at the time and I'd been married prior so it was really nice to discuss it and make sure we were on the same page. best of luck hon!

Lol girl i dropped hints too like playing marry me song in the car by jason derulo and marry you by bruno mars, make jokes about engagement rings and many stuff ... now that we’re married i told him all the hints i dropped and he’s like “i had no clue” .. men are kinda dumb lol be straight. I dropped a lot of hints and I wasn't subtle about it so he called me out on it haha Ended up that when I was hinting, he already had a plan (and a ring!) to propose.

Don’t be pushy, but definitely don’t be afraid to talk about it with him. I mean it is a big life step for both of you. Make sure you’re both on the same page.

After a nice date or evening or whatever together, just open up to him lovingly. Lol. Tell him that you've really enjoyed your time together in the relationship and you think you're ready to take it further. Don't be pushy, and ask him what his thoughts are. If he thinks it's too soon, ask him what his goals are. Hopefully you get a timeframe from him like 'after I finish this course' or 'after 1 year'. It should be reasonable.

I agree don’t push it, by doing that your probably appreciating is choice of decision, after all your not married yet. He’s waiting for the right occasion and to be comfortable most likely .
