period while breastfeeding?

i ebf & my daughter is 15 weeks old i just got my period today. i have read online it's uncommon for moms to have a period while breastfeeding, have any of you experienced this? all the mommies i know who breastfed didn't have a period for a year they breastfed, it is having me worry.

It’s normal, everyone is different! My mom and my midwife both had theirs return at 8 weeks while EBF...mine returned at 14 weeks.

Everyone is different. Some women don't get them because of the hormones from breastfeeding, some do. I'm almost 16w pp ebf and my pp bleeding went right into my first period. And I've gotten mine every month, it's been really long and heavy some months. It just ended a few days ago and that was just spotting  for 9 days. If your getting a period you can get pregnant while bf. No reason to worry

Everyone’s body is different. Some people go right back into periods and some don’t. My LO is 4 months now and still no period but 3 of my friends all had at least 2 and their babies are 6 months. Try not to freak out. Just remember the first few periods can be super heavy and crampy.
