when baby sleeps through the night, what about the diaper?

my LO is starting to sleep more hours at a time (4/5 hours), as a FTM it makes me wonder what other mothers do whose baby sleeps for 8/10 hours at night. Is there no changing of the diaper at all? what about diaper rash etc

There’s extra absorbent overnight diapers designed for 12+ hours (like pampers baby dry). I put diaper cream before putting my baby to bed and don’t change it all night unless Baby wakes up or Baby pooped

You dont change the diaper unless baby poops. My first two boys were heavy wetters so when they were big enough, I bought huggies nighttime diapers and loved them.  I think they start at size 2 though.

My girl is 6 weeks tomorrow and sleeps 7/8 hours usually. Till she's hungry. Occasionally she will wake around 2 if her diaper bothers her. And usually will go right back to sleep.

Don’t change unless babe wakes up. Your baby will be fine in a wet diaper until morning. Just make sure to use the wipes really good when babe wakes.

my little one HATES to be wet at all... no matter what diaper we use... He will wake up and cry until you change it and is usually falling back to sleep by the time you are buttoning up his clothes.... I don't even count those as real wake ups because 9 times out of 10 I wake up the first time he grunts or moans and get the change over with before he starts crying. I'm up for less than 5 minutes.... this happens maybe 2 times a night. otherwise he will sleep for hours!

My daughter is changed every 1.5 hours during the day and zero times at night. She’s been sleeping 10-12 hours straight since she was 5 weeks old. She’s now 5 months. She wears an overnight diaper now that she’s bigger (most brands start at size 3). And honestly she doesn’t pee a whole lot at night. She’s had some mornings in the last couple weeks where she’s woken up completely dry. But I always clean her up and put on some baby powder (Burt’s Bees talc free) when she wakes up to soak up any extra moisture. She’s never had a diaper rash or anything like that.
