U/S during period????

Question

Got my tentative IVF schedule and they schedule the first U/S for CD 2 when I will be bleeding. How does that work? Anyone have experience with this? Thanks for all the replies!!! It’s good to know that it won’t be a big deal.

Same here- I wouldn’t worry one bit about it. They can best see Antral follicles on cd 2-3 so this when all baselines are done. I bought a few individually packed baby wipes to give myself a tidying in the restroom before hand and after each of my u/s appt when cycling. It helped me feel more okay with it. The u/s literally takes all of 3-5 minutes while u are laying on your back so I doubt u will have time to do excessive bleeding and the nurses and docs who do this have seen it all before. vagjays looking is the same to them as u looking at someone’s arm. 
Rather than fret, I would try to keep as calm as possible and spend your energy praying for good results and sticky baby or two.

I had this done during an IUI cycle. They do the u/s as normal. I just asked the nurse to use the restroom before and took out my tampon and put a pad on to hold me over for the walk to and from the bathroom. The tables you sit on should have some sort of covering on it. I was embarrassed about it at first but then I thought these doctors do this all the time so there was nothing to worry about.

Had mine on CD 2 this cycle. She just had me go to the bathroom and take out my tampon right before she started. Don’t worry about it. They do it all the time.

They do it everyday. No need to be embarrassed or nervous. I had one on CD 3 and it was fine.
