Hair Highlights at 5 weeks??

Question

I’ve done some research, and I️ feel like it seems to be fine, but should I️ or should I️ not get highlights at 5 weeks???
It would be foil highlights not touching the scalp, by a professional who knows I’m pregnant, in a well ventilated area...I️ know some say not in the first trimester, but does this count for highlights? 
My roots are soooo bad! I can’t handle it...but of course I’ll wait till second trimester if I️ must!

I heard not in the first trimester as well. I know a lot of people still do it, but personally I'm waiting. I feel ya on the roots girl. But I just don't want to risk it

Research I’ve done says wait til 2nd trimester.

My boyfriend is a barber/instructor and he will not let me near hair dye. He says a small amount gets absorbed into the scalp and ends up in the blood stream.

Just wait till 2nd trimester, 1st is the trimester that you have to be very very cautious about what you do and what you breathe in

my fiance, whose done the schooling, research, and was a hairdresser for a few years, says you'll be fine. its not high enough of a concentration to do anything (whats put on your head and whats in the air in the salon) and isnt on your head long enough to matter. my sister has dyed her hair many times with all 4 of her pregnancies and the only issue shes ever had is her dye not holding for long due to hormones. but she uses like manc panic, splat and other hair dyes like that. or box dyes from the store.

I’ve been getting foiled highlights since I found out I was pregnant. You and the baby  will be perfectly fine.

It is fine.My RE said that getting hair,or nails done has zero affect on the baby.
