Late Menstrual Cycle

My boyfriend and I are TTC four about a month now . We've been friends for 4-5 years and in a relationship for 2 months now. Muy cycle is 3 weeks late and just when the last 3 days off the month came so did my cycle. I've read medical books and have been told by a few doctors that you will still see spotting when pregnant. How many say it's true ? My boyfriend doesn't want me to do an at home pregnancy test so Im going to surprise him with a doc visit ! My boyfriend thinks I've been bloated all this month but i haven't !
