Forgetting to put away the days pumped milk and other Brest milk horror stories..

So this morning at 4:30am my lovely, hardworking, beautiful, mother of my son realized she forgot to put in the refrigerator the 16oz of milk she pumped at work yesterday. Needless to say she was quite upset. We have a bit of frozen back up but pumping for her has been difficult at times, so although not a catastrophic loss, this still put a dent in our supply. I honestly don’t blame her for forgetting. She picks up our son from day care in the evening, comes home to our crazy dog, and then tries to bake cookies for the daycare before running out of time and starting the nightly bedtime ritual. Long story long, there’s a lot to be distracted by when she got home. Anyway she’s mad as hell (honestly top three angriest I have seen her in 5 years) and blaming herself. I was wondering what other people’s stories were of accidentally wasting the white gold we call breast milk? Side question, will she be even madder at me for posting this?
