Young military love.
My boyfriend and I have been together for 2 1/2 years and are currently thinking about marriage. He’s going to be coming out of bootcamp in about 2 weeks and he mentioned proposing and such sometime soon. I don’t plan on getting married before he finishes school and such (about a year). But for us to have a smooth transition into a comfy living situation, we would have to get married towards the end of 2018. We’re both 19 and our families are giving full support simply because we fit together well and have the utmost respect for each other and now how to communicate well. My only thing is that I’ve been through 6 total divorced between both of my parents and commitment is difficult for me. So to be in a relationship as long as I have is beyond me. I love this man, and I would want to be with him and we seem to have good skills in hashing out things we see that upset us in a civil and loving way. I just don’t know about marriage, but I don’t know if this feeling will ever go away. Simply because of what I’ve been through. Is there anyone similar or have any advice?
