Parents too restricting
Going out to all the younger generations growing up with the older generations as their rentals
Me and the s/o have been together now for 6 months and it’s a lil bit serious
We see each other when we can and we also live quiet far away from each other. Hour away to be exact.
So he sleeps over when he does come round because it’s the easiest for the both of us and I sleep at his when I come over.
But my parents just seem to give me shit for it saying that we ‘act’ like a married couple and such. I just want to get opinions about it all because I hate having to feel so torn between obeying my parents law and wanting to do what makes me happy. Like they were happy and excited to meet him and it stayed like that till he started sleeping over now they just sorta cold shoulder him even when he tried to make conversation.
I just don’t know what to do, I’m 17 and feel like each year they’re getting stricter.
Friends and family said parents loosen up after their kids turn 16 but I feel like I’ve got more restrictions
I have a full time job, I drive myself places
I just don’t know what else they want from me.
