Need some help

I'm not good with the pill but had them for almost a year now. The past few days I had seen a tiny speck of blood when wipping but nothing more and didn't worry me but today 11 days before my next period is due I started cramping and having more brown discharge with a slight pink look to it as well more when I whip. Could it be do to missing a pill or would else could it be? I am also sexually active but I never had this kind of discharge or spotting so far out from period before.
