Is it fair?

I'm 19 and my bf is 35. Now that we've recently started TTC he's told me that he'll only give it a year. If we don't by that point we'll go in for fertility, and if there is nothing then I should just be happy without a natural born. Is it fair to be timed lol

I don't think it's a bad thing to have a timeline if you disagree with his length tell him but a year seams reasonable to me

Well going into fertility may mean finding out if something is wrong with his sperm count or your reproductive system maybe something a doctor can point out and fix so you can try and be successful instead of wasting tons of years and wondering why. The more negative pregnancy test the more you get upset and just want to know why.

A year of trying is the the physician recomended timeline before talking to a fertility specialist, maybe he read that somewhere and didn't pick it arbitrarily. And maybe hes just trying to manange expectations which can be so hard with such an emotional journey?
