When is it the right time to start asking your SO if they ever plan on marrying you?

So my SO and I have been together for almost a year (anniversary is coming up in a couple of weeks) and I really want to know if he sees an actual future with me. No judgment, but we accidentally got pregnant so I kinda feel like this talk should’ve already happened but idk. How do you even start this conversation? He’s the type that won’t start the future conversation but subtly says things like “I don’t want our wedding to be huge” (we were talking about how my friend wants a huge extravagant wedding) , “when we get married”, and “our next child”. I don’t want to just jump to the conclusion that he’s going to propose one day.

Like I want to know how long it’ll be when he proposes, 2-3 years but I just don’t know how to ask him and when to?

If someone has any ideas on how to bring it up please tell me or tell me how you did it with your SO 😭
