I took one the day before my period was due and got a negative. I took another one the next day (day my period was due) and got a positive

I took one 2 or 3 days before my missed period and it said no. Took it 2 days after my missed period and it said yes! I think the day after missed period it should have enough pregnancy hormone to pick up.
