If you dissolve laws how are you going to prosecute anyone? Are we gonna go based on moral code? Cause not everyone has the same morals. And common sense isn’t a trait everyone carries either sooooo.

Rationality- human beings have free will, and the actions they undertake are the result of choice. 2. Hedonism- pleasure and pain, or reward and punishment, are the major determinants of choice. 3. Punishment- criminal punishment is a deterrent to unlawful behavior, and deterrence is the best justification for punishment. 4. Human rights- society is made possible by individuals cooperating together. Hence, society owes to its citizens respect for their rights in the face of government action and for their autonomy insofar as such autonomy can be secured without endangering others or menacing the greater good. 5. Due process- an accused should be presumed innocent until proven otherwise, and an accused should not be subject to punishment before guilt is lawfully established.

we should find ways to help reform the people we send to jail/prison so that they can be productive members of society when they get out. some of them become repeat offenders because they can't get a job that will supply their needs due to their offense. so then they can't get a place to live or food. if we had programs where they had a sponsor /counselors/casework agenda a school system that could be one step in the right direction to helping them. let's the school system teaches them a trade such as welding or any other technical skill. then when they got out they could find a job in that field. those types of jobs are in demand. so we would be equipping them with a way to better themselves. some people are products of a failed system. the system needs to be improved somehow.
