How long?

So my husband and I are TTC. I was on birth control for 9 years before getting off. We have been trying for 2 months only... but how many of you ladies were on birth control for a long time and how long did it take for you to get pregnant? Each month I've had signs of being pregnant but AF has shown up each month.

I was on it for 8 years or so. Took me almost 1 year. I have irregular/long cycles so the last cycle I used opks. I was ovulating later than I thought. Currently 18 weeks pregnant:)

I was on it for 13 years. Had a chemical our 2nd month trying. Bought opks for our 3rd month and got pregnant. Currently 10 weeks.

I was on the patch for 12 years. Got off it at the end of April and I was pregnant by June. My first cycle was still that fake cycle I believe so I got pregnant on my first real cycle.

I was on birth control since high school due to bad period cramps. So that’s like 17 years on birth control. I stopped. Made sure not to have sex during my ovulating week for the first 3 months. First month trying, we got pregnant.

It can actually take up to 2 years for a healthy couple to convince.  this is why the suggestion is to go see a Dr if you have been unsuccessful after this time as there may be underlying causes to the infertility. This is regardless of previous birth control methods
