Wanted rather than needed. Neediness is either really annoying or really draining tbh. When you’re wanted it’s a more pleasurable feeling to me.

Needed implies the lack of choice in wanted to be with me. I would way rather someone choose to want to be with me than have to our of necessity.

My husband needs me. There are times he tries to make me believe that I need him. And I have to explain to him that I really don’t need him. He’s got some issues, bless him.

Wanted for sure. I tell my fiance all the time. You aren't here because I need you here. You're here because I want you here. That's a compliment! Too often people want to feel needed but that's a level of attachement I'm not comfortable with nor is it always healthy. Not in terms of life partners anyways.

I have no interest in being two halves of a whole person. I am my whole self and I can survive independently. I want someone who can respect that but sticks around anyway because they want to.

Wanted for sure!! I don’t mind being needed by my kids until they are older but I hate being needed by my husband. He shouldn’t need me. He’s a grown man.
