What do you do during baby playtime?

I've been interactively playing with my baby all this time, pointing out shapes/colors/etc. But I feel like they also need alone time to discover ? Do you talk and play with your baby the whole time or do you let them play by themselves and come and check up/interact once in awhile?

I play with her and stimulate her but I also think it’s important to let her independently play within my view while I cook, clean, or do other things

I stay in the same room and do things like watch tele while eating or just go on the Xbox for abit or clean up in the kitchen which is next door with only a baby gate dividing us

i let her wonder the house still in eye sight and at times we play with blocks, read and tickle play she laughs so much.

I used to do a mix of all 3 but my son has been pulling up on everything lately and thinks he can just walk away without falling on his face, so I'm constantly in hover mode... so tiring and I feel so unproductive lately. hopefully things improve soon and we can get back to all 3!

All three! I usually do housework while she's playing on the floor.  Most of the time she is following me around the house and I'll sing songs about what I'm doing.  I sit on the floor a lot and play with her, read, etc.
