So we’ve just come back from telling the in laws that we’re pregnant with our first (4weeks 3 days). I’m excited/nervous/freaking out all at once. We’ve asked them to keep it a secret until further notice but their reaction wasn’t what I expected. They just threw a congratulations at us and then carried in with normal conversation. I sort of excepted a slightly more enthusiastic response given it’s their first grandchild.

I’m prone to being irritated by them normally and my husband doesn’t seem too bothered by their reaction. Am I irrationally annoyed?
