So, I called my doctors office today about extreme low back pain, stabbing pains near my left kidney, and cramping/stabbing pain in my belly and low abdomen. They had me come in this afternoon, and doctor was able to find heartbeat with the Doppler. Checked my cervix and said it’s so thick and strong I could set a state record, but then he continued to push and check my uterus (sizing I would think) and he says hm... why are you having contractions? Note that I’m only 11 weeks and some days. Apparently that’s what my pain is. He could feel my uterus contracting. Sent me downstairs for an ultrasound which showed a perfect bouncing waving kicking baby with heartbeat of 179. Not sure what to think about these contractions as I’m in a lot of pain still and he didn’t have an explanation for it. Also my blood pressure was high (130/90). Has anyone else ever experienced this? It’s my second pregnancy, and I had preterm labor with my first at 32 weeks and csection at 35 weeks but I had twins so It was expected.
