Fainting after blood work??

Question

Did anybody else struggle with how much blood they gave? My last 12w appointment took 7 vials! I didn’t look, I thought I was fine after they took it but by the time I was scheduling my next appointment at the front desk—I was going down. 
I have two more blood tests this month 😞
(1 reg doc, 2 glucose)

I always lay down when they do it. And they let me lay as long as I need and then I have to set laying against the wall and then they let me set up on my own. They offer me drinks and snacks if I think I need them.

This is me. Lol I've started going in with a coffee or juice and crackers or something snackish. my nurse giggles every time because my first blood draw I almost landed in her lap. Lol also my office keeps juice and snacks stocked in case I forget. your office might too.

Hahahahahaha I read this to my husband and he asked if I posted it. This exact thing happened to me when they took 8 vials for blood work and NIPT. Passed out at the front desk making my next appointment 🙄 so embarrassing

I was the same way when they did my prenatal test and I never watch them take my blood I just talk to them.

The same thing happeded to me when I had my blood work last time I was pregnant. I think the culprit was low blood pressure, so this time I drank a lot of water beforehand, ate a salty snack, and let then know beforehand that I have had issues in the past so they put my feet up before they drew my blood and I was fine.

Yes! They took 10 vials my first visit. I got super sweaty, almost fainted and had to be moved and laid down for a few minutes. Then I felt weird all day
