Is it okay to say money when people ask what your child wants for christmas?

I saw someone talking about this on Facebook so I thought I'd come here and ask because I'm not even sure if it's okay or not. As for my answer I believe their are a lot of pending factors that would make this okay and not okay. I think it would be okay as long as the child is not in need of clothing and has a lot of toys and the money would go into a bank account that is set up for the child for their future. I don't think it would be okay if the mother or father are drug users who could potentially be taking that money for drugs.
