Gripe water,, how old can a baby be?

Ladies I had my baby 10/27 he's not even two weeks yet, I was researching gripe water bcuz my baby gets hiccups sooooo much in a day even though he burps well. Is there an age on this product and does it even work? Anyone with helpful insights to gripe water would be greatly welcomed. I wanna hear pros and cons,his Drs say he's tooooo young for this product but I wanna hear from you guys.

Hiccups are normal!!!! You don’t need to use gripe water for hiccups. 
Newborns get hiccups because their digestive tract is still getting used to not being fed by the cord.
Don’t use gripe water for hiccups. Please.

My daughter is 3 weeks old and our doctor suggested it because she is very very gassy

Our baby was born 10/25 and I've used it 3 times. The box says 2 weeks and up

Started using it for my son at 2 weeks for colic and it helped so much. every now and than I use it for his hiccups and it works almost instantly but I don't use the full dose because just a few drops help!

On the back of the gripe water I have it says 2 weeks for the youngest age, and that's when we started to use it for my daughter! That stuff works miracles!!

I started my son at 1 week old with my pediatricians permission. We gave him 1/4 tsp and it really worked!
