This is a PSA for my POAS addicts like myself.

I’m about 7 weeks and took a pregnancy test this morning for whatever reason (I know, I know excessive) but after two chemicals before my son, I’ll be nervous before my ultrasound next week.

Anyway, took a FRER this morning and was nervous that the test line was not significantly darker then the control, because at 7 weeks one would think it would be. So naturally I freaked, and googled and found the “hook effect”, where there can be TOO much hcg to show an accurate reading, and people found diluting their urine got them a better result. Well I drank a ton of water today and decided to try again tonight with diluted urine, and lo and behold it is SOOOOOO much darker. (Picture below - top is this morning, bottom is tonight)

So ladies, don’t be crazy like me. And if you are, don’t freak if you don’t see a crazy dark line at this stage.

No more tests for me. I’m done finally :)
