It makes me sad to see that so many of these post are about how people are unhappy with their ldr.

Here's my story:

My boyfriend and I met each other in July of this year. we immediately connected on a deep level. We honestly could say that the connection came from left field/total surprise. I told him that I had to finish one more year of my masters at a school that is 2.5 hours away. In the beginning, he said that it was a lot to consider. About a week before I left though, he told me that he was wanting to move forward into making us officially boyfriend and girlfriend. two weeks into my classes, he came down to visit me. That weekend, he asked me to officially be his girlfriend. We both agree that long-distance relationships are hard, but we also agree that our relationship is worth it.

So, here's a tip. Plan a movie date night together. You will choose a movie, pop some popcorn, and grab your favorite drink. Video chat each other on your phone or laptop, and watch the movie on your TV or laptop. This was a really great idea for me and my bf. You can also plan dinner dates the same way. You each can dress up and order takeout food. Video chat each other while you eat the food. To make it more fun, you can make up a scenario about a silly waitress or a clumsy waitor. That's just my humor though. Honestly, anything with video chat is great!!! Best of luck!
