My mom used to grill me with whatever excuse I gave, like if I told her I threw up she'd be like 🤔 did u tho 🤔🤔

Tbh, this was a trick I did when I was younger. I was telling my mom I caught a cold and she gave me the thermometer and I always put it on a light bulb (from the lamp) until it reached the good temperature for letting me skip school that day.

For your parents or attendance officer? I would tell the school we were sick or after I could drive that the car was dead. I would tell my mom that I was sick, which was easy to do because I was a sickly teen and my mom hated getting up in the morning. She knew I was bsing her most of the time but didn't care. So I got off easy. It wasn't until I went to college that hookie required real effort.
