Mysterious pelvic pain

Hey guys I'm having some health issues and wanted to know if anyone had experienced anything similar and what they did for it. For a back story, last year I started having sharp pain in my lower right pelvic area about once a month between periods. Then, after using the morning after pill one day I had EXTREME sharp pain in the same area and decided to finally go see my doctor. She sent me to get an ultrasound and there it was found that I had a small fibroid. I then saw a specialist who was about to retire and basically didn't care about me at all. He said my fibroid was too small to be the cause of my symptoms (pain in between periods, irregular periods, light periods, major cramps) and nonchalantly suggested "you could have PCOS or endometriosis" and put me on birth control. 3 months later I saw him again and told him it didn't seem different and he asked to see me again in 6 months. Between those appointments he retired, I stopped taking the bc pills and I never saw anyone.. I guess it's my fault for not scheduling another appointment with someone else but his attitude made me feel like what was going on with me was no big deal. However, after waking up again this morning at 1 am with the sharp right pelvic pain again I've decided to schedule an appointment. First I wanted to reach out and get some support or some validity from other people who have experienced the same kind of stuff. When I get these pains off my period I've noticed it's ONLY in the middle of the night and always on the right. I've been keeping track of my period on the app and the majority of the time it's not during ovulation. I used to have really heavy periods and now they are really light and I got back and forth being a week or so early or late. Anyone else out there with the same weird symptoms?
