Anyone else toddler not walking?

My 18 month old is still not walking independently. She has been standing on her own and cruising since one year. She will walk if I hold her hand sometimes as well. She just finished 6 weeks of physical therapy and still nothing. Everything is there physically but she just will not take steps on her own. Every other kid her age or younger is walking and I’m just so frustrated.

I feel we put so much pressure on our children and ourselves and compare to what society and media says it is normal. If the doctor says it is fine then we should let it be. Sometimes even doctors are wrong, i am not saying we shouldn't go to the doctors, heck my mom is a pediatrician. But all these theories that they should walk, talk, sleep by a certain age are sometimes ridiculous and although the children are developing normal, this puts so much stress on us mothers. We should enjoy them more, and freak out less.

Awe I would just take her for walks and hold her hand to encourage it she obviously knows how just needs to build up the confidence to control her own steps 😘💛

She sounds adorable I would say let her take your hand and practice as often as possible. Having a 19 month old who won't hesitate to go anywhere her heart desires sometimes I long for her to just want to hold my hand and follow me

Every child does things at their own pace. If the doctor says nothing is wrong then just give her some time. I didn't begin walking until I was 2. She will get there.
