It’s a While Off But - Petrified of Labor?!

Hi ladies, hope you’re all doing as well as can be!
I am 10.2 weeks pregnant and made the fatal mistake of watching One Born Every Minute today. Memories of me giving birth 9 years ago came flooding back, as a healthy 20 year old at that time I still didn’t cope well at ALL with labor and went as far as trying to make myself pass out during labor because I couldn’t stand the pain. 
I will be 30 by the time this baby comes next June, and I’ve got many ailments including Fibromyalgia this time round. Im absolutely crapping myself that I will lose control during labor through not having a very good pain threshold at all. Is anyone else as scared as I am?

I was scared early on during my first pregnancy too. The prospect is terrifying. But once I️ was late into my third trimester? I️ was begging her to get tf out of me already.
It’s all a process. We don’t give birth ready to be parents to teenagers, and we don’t enter pregnancy mentally prepared to give birth. It may still be nerve wracking come go time, but it’ll be tinged with a lot more excitement and relief as well. Especially after feeling baby moving around and having to pee 24/7 and decreased lung capacity. You have time to bond with the kiddo you’re growing and time to get sick of being heavily pregnant, haha.
You will be able to do this.

I had a very hard labor with my first, 24 hours with 4 hours of pushing! 
I did yoga and hiked the whole time! I thought it would make it easier - just let me impress the delivery nurses by doing squats while on my epidural.
I’m 11 weeks pregnant with 2nd and hopefully it’ll at least be faster. I have no words just that you will get thru it because nature will make you do it even when you think you can’t anymore. 
Labor is not fun and it’s hard but it’s a bodily function and it will take over when it’s time

My labor the first time around was horrible!!! I walked out 2 years ago saying “never again!!!” But here I am 10 weeks pregnant because I know how much beauty is in the pain. Def not excited for the Labor part, but you do forget and you’ll have your precious child in your arms!

This is going to sound like odd advice, and I am really just throwing it out there on the off chance it would help, but it might work to go into it knowing that an epidural is always an option - even if you don’t plan to use it.  I have been an ACT tutor for teens with test anxiety. I always tell them to go into the test reminding themselves they can always take the test again if they don’t like their score. They usually bring their all and have no need to take it again, but just knowing the option is there can be empowering.

Just look at it like a roller coaster ride because in the end your happy and excited. everyone's experience is completely different my first was bad. But now what I could possibly experience.

I was that way with my first! I really devoted time for meditation to control how my body reacts and it worked amazing!! I was able to soothe my nausea (most of the time) in the beginning and that gave me the confidence to use it for pain relief during labor.
I meditated for about 20 minutes a day, visited a Buddhist temple during their open meditation time for some guidance once I got into it and studied the hypnobirthing booking. I swear by it! It really calms the nerves!

I was nervous about labor with my first and it was honestly the best experience of my entire pregnancy. My mom told me that if it was that bad, women wouldn't keep having babies and that calmed my nerves. I suggest researching pain options and decide what is best for you and your baby during labor. I chose an epidural and loved it.
