Is 143/90 high blood pressure?

Hi lady's so I have no clue about blood pressure and I just checked mine because last few times it's been border line high and it's 143/90 the pharmacist said that was kind a high but the nurse on call said it if I'm not showing any signs of high blood pressure I should be ok.. confused!

It’s not too bad. I’m a CNA and you are still within normalish limits. If it gets much higher I’d see a doctor. But you’re not there and hopefully you won’t have to be there!!

My doc told me to call if I get any BP's over 140/90. What is your BP normally? You should definitely call because increasing BP is sign of preeclampsia.

I thought pregnancy blood pressure levels were expected to be different than regular levels?

120/80 is considered normal but if you run high regularly then that’s a different story. My entire pregnancy I ran 100/60. They always thought I was going to faint or something. But that’s my norm. If you are pregnant I would probably ask your doctors office if you can come in and get it taken manually because those machines at the pharmacy are over used. It may not be accurate.

Anything over 140/90 is considered hypertension, no matter it's it's just by one number or three it should still be checked.
