Damage in the long run ??

So I just had my baby girl on the 28th of September & I'm considering the IUD . I talked about it with my boyfriend & he actually doesn't like the fact that they're gonna have to "mess with me" down there . He doesn't want them messing something up & I get where he comes from . But I gave it some thought & wondered, can you get damage down there in the long run from an iud? Like scarred tissue ? & i just need any advice or your guys's experiences . Thanks 💕
