My nose is slightly bumpy and has... curves. Would a nose stud look ok?

I've been thinking of getting one for the last 6 months, of course I still have to get my moms permission but I really want to get one for my 15th birthday. I've had ear piercings in the past but they got infected. I think I'm old enough now to properly take care of it. I would get it at a real piercing/tattoo place with a needle instead of a gun.

Any Tips for taking care of it for the future? Experiences?
