I'm in the military and my bf and I have been together for 10 months. My best friend told me that my bf is going to propose during christmas week. I'm so excited, but slightly nervous because I just want us to last. Ive always told myself if i was going to get married id only do it once. I've loved before, but ive never loved anyone or anything as much as I love him.

Me and mine are joining the military together, but we plan to wait a year for marriage. Its not too soon at all if you are both willing to make this huge commitment. I say do it and dont let anyone else tell you other wise. Experience life together and do what makes you happy.

But it isn’t necessarily too fast at 35.

My husband and I got married after knowing each other for three months. We’ve had a happy and healthy relationship for years now. We’ve been through deployments, ridiculously long trainings on opposite sides of the country, and long work hours. If it wasn’t for the marine corps I never would have met my husband, and I wouldn’t change the decisions we made for the world. 😊
