Is it acceptable to have a baby shower for your 2nd child?

There are no rules !:) you do what makes you happy , Iam having my second boy and my family is still throwing me a shower so really I believe it's okay every baby deserves to be celebrated!

I was always under the impression that if it was a different gender or faaaaaar apart (like more than 5 years) then you had a second baby shower. Other than that you do a greeting party after the baby is born. But it’s really up to you!

➡➡➡ ORIGINAL POSTER ⬅⬅⬅         I just looked some stuff online and read that every baby can be celebrated. I don't wanna leave him/her out!! The registry won't be huge this time since my babies will be less than 2 yrs apart. Technology is always changing and with a first baby, you realize what things you wish you had but didn't. That's when the 2nd baby shower comes in handy!!

If it’s a different gender then I think it would be ok, but don’t expect people to bring lots of gifts. You could always do like a diaper shower or a meet the baby get together.

We had a different gender, but the girls from church wanted to do a sprinkle! They just had a little frilly tea party for all of us girls to get together. Good excuse to gather, but I would not plan it for yourself, or make a registry.
