What if?

I hate this topic but I have to say as it's been eating me

I'm currently a pro vaccinating mama but what if vaccinations had high risks of behavioural, mental and developmental issues and the government kept it quiet?

What if there was a correlation between vaccinating and autism but it is hidden as people would be scared to vaccinate their kids which would cause all these currently silenced deadly disease to come back?

What would you do?

If you say I'd rather have an autistic kid than a dead one... how would you plan that child's life when you are not alive? What if all your other children become psychologically impacted for the rest of their life because of their sibling...

Genuinely think about it

Do real research (a Glow App doesn't count). Books like "The Vaccine Book" by Dr. sears are really great unbiased sources that let you know what brands of vaccines contain what and they levels of each, the risks of each disease and where they're most likely to come into contact. I don't care if you are pro-vaccine and anti, you should know EXACTLY what the hell is going into your child because when your kid spikes a fever after their 12 month shots and regress in their speech pattern you're going to want to be able to sleep at night feeling confident that those two things aren't related. I DO not agree with the vaccine schedule. Shoving a 3 month old full of so many vaccines at the same time cannot be the best choice. I think things like the MMR should be done on their own with atleast a month given before and after to allow the body to focus on breaking it down appropriately. That is the only one my boys EVER reacted too and they reacted terribly!!! Understand which vaccines are live and which ones can shed so when you have a 1 year old and a newborn, you can lessen the risks of your newborn being exposed.... I think that too many Pro-vaccine Mama's think that being pro-vaccine means you love all the vaccines and want as many as possible as fast as possible but it's not an excuse to be uneducated. That's what discredits our arguments eventually.

Thank you!!! No other country in the world pushes them so fast (and unnecessarily).

I’d rather have money put aside so my child could be cared for then to have my child die from a disease that is preventable!! Your what if scenarios are ridiculous! Vaccines do not cause Autism!

If we allow these diseases to come back, your other children may likely die from them as well. I think they'd much rather have an autistic sibling to have to care for (potentially, because autism is a spectrum and you can be high functioning) than die from polio. That being said, I think this post verges on spreading misinformation. Perhaps it's a "what if" scenario, but it really does suggest--and plant into other people's heads--that the government would keep this information from the public and somehow benefit from it. While it may appear that the rates of autism are higher, you have to also take into affect that we didn't always realize it was a spectrum, and not more people are diagnosed because we better recognize the more subtle signs. If indeed the risks were "high", as your question hypothetically posed, we'd have a lot more cases of autism than we do now.

If we accept your premise for the moment - why would the government want there to be higher rates of autism?

Wow. So you think people like me are such a burden that we'd be better off dead to spare others from taking care of us? Seriously?I know you're just looking to stir controversy up but I think you can imagine why that idea you presented is really messed up. I'm disabled and autistic and I have a wonderful life. Don't you tell me my loved ones would be better off if I was dead!

okay. the spectrum of autism is genetic, meaning the child is born with it and can not develop it. sure you can notice signs later on in life but it's always been there, so vaccinations do not cause and can not cause autism. I have several family members that have ADHD and ADD and several types of developmental and learning disabilities. they were born with them. it's genetics simply genetics

Most parents don't even take the time to learn there are different brands of each vaccine and some contain more formaldehyde or mercury than others.
