Any advice for the 1 hr glucose test?

Yes this is my second but I really don't remember a thing about the glucose test the first time (except I guess I passed?) 
Is it fasting or just don't eat/drink for a little while before?

In England we can’t eat from
10pm the night before, only allowed to drink water 😕

My doctor said I could eat before, but kind of watch what I eat. She said she wouldn’t eat a donut and drink a glass of orange juice lol

I have kaiser and they let me eat an hour before. They recommend it. I ate an English muffin, egg and cheese and ham sandwich and have passed two one hour tests. I go in the morning to get it over with. My sister went after work and hadn’t eaten much that day and failed the one hour but passed the 3 hour.

Nothing to eat or drink after midnight. You show up drink solution and return in 1 hr for them to draw your blood. That simple and easy.

I wasn't allowed to eat or drink anything all morning.. I guess it depends on the doctor but I passed with flying colors

I was able to eat a light breakfast (two scrambled eggs with a very small amount of milk mixed in and a cup of BLACK 1/2 caffeinated coffee) for my one hour test. Definitely call and ask first!

You just have to drink the drink and stay at the doc for hour you can’t drink or eat after you take it
