Bit of history...Im youngest of 4 with older brother and two sisters. My sisters both had boys first then a girl. I had two girls and am on my third pregnancy. My mom tends to favor the boys as her grandchildren (it seems). My mom wouldnt throw me a baby shower for my second girl because she said I didnt need anything (which wasnt why I wanted a shower). I was very upset about this and my MIL actually did a small shower for me instead. When we told them we were having a third they were not to excited nor pleased about the news (husband had just lost and started a new job and were renting from them but paying all house bills). They are more excited now after a month of knowing. I'm so nervous to find out gender because I feel she'll not be happy if its another girl. She's talking so much about boy names and such and we won't find out till Christmas. Am I over thinking? I'd be thrilled if it was another girl but everyone around me seems to want it to be a boy. My husband would love a boy and we know our family isn't finished (we want 4 or 5) yet. Do I find out and not tell anyone? I'm going to my ultrasound alone. I want to know to prepare myself but not sure I want everyone to know. Anybody else been here or similar situation?
