The rates they give when you do exit counseling are for about 10 years unless you defer. You can get ones for low income or pay a standard higher rate that involves less interest over time. I️ have a plan to probably go with the standard set rate and then pay more if I️ hace extra in my paychecks. I️ graduate next month so we will see

I’m almost done, it’s been 9 years but I deferred for 2 when I was getting my masters. I guess technically 7 years.

I haven’t paid them off yet but its only been about 2 years. I think the standard is around 10 years
