High risk rating?

Hi everyone, I got told today that my risk rating for having Down syndrome was quite high at 1 in 58. I have to now get the harmony test to double check. Has anyone else had a high risk rating? I'm feeling really emotional about it... was wanting to announce we are expecting baby #2 but now feel like we should wait until we know everything is ok. Just wanting to chat to someone who has experienced this.

Let’s put that into perspective.  1:58 chance is 1.72% chance that there is an abnormality.  Putting a positive spin on it means you have a 98.28% chance that your baby is healthy.  I think that’s pretty good odds?!  Try and focus on the 98.28% as much as you can as difficult as that is.  Good luck with the testing though I believe the odds are in your favour👍🏻🍀😊

My husband and I talked about it. We said if there was anything wrong like downs or anything it wouldn't change how we felt. Good luck to you

Hi, really think about where you personally stand here. Would you terminate the pregnancy if something was wrong? If there's a possibility you could lose the baby, how would family handle that? I don't have advice really except take your personal beliefs into strong consideration and go from there.
