Advice for foundation on dry skin?

I am a natural redhead and I have ridiculously dry skin all the time. I hate using lotion because I feel like it’s just slimy, and when I try and use foundation it just looks like crap! Does anyone have any foundations they love for dry skin? Or tips on hydrating without making my skin oily? Thanks!

Try mixing a facial oil in with your foundation for a more moistourising effect! I do it everyday, natural red head with super dry skin! I also recommend face masks if you can find one you enjoy! My favourite foundations are any by max factor and the Makeup forever HD stick

Im a makeup artist! ... Try water/gel based moisturizers, in shower moisturiser, or just moisturizing before bed! Make sure you're exfoliating your skin about twice a week, followed by more moisturiser! drink LOTS of water! As for foundations, CC creams are good if you want light-medium coverage, they're moisturizing! look for foundations that say "dewy" or "moisturizing" in their names/packaging! Maybelline dewy Fit me foundation is really good!!! Make sure you cleanse and moisturise before putting on your makeup, any powders will dry out your skin!
