Prom?

I’m not sure if I want to go to prom. One day for the fun of it my mom and I went looking at dresses in case I wanted to and I fell in love with this dress. I may go only so I can wear this dress. The open cross cross part is only on one side and its plan and simple and just so pretty 😍 if I go I want to wear heels but I’m worried I’ll look like a human giraffe. I’m 5’7 and the heels I have are at least three inches probably four (maybe five but part of me hopes not) and I don’t want to look insanely tall. What do you guys think?
