C-section in UK on NHS
So I just found out that I might need to have a c-section due to unforseen complications. I'm 40weeks today and seeing the doctor tomorrow to discuss options but if the only way is c-section then it's going to have to be done asap! My whole pregnancy I've just assumed I'd have a natural birth so it's a bit of a shock to me. Those of you that have had c-section with the NHS, What was it like? Skin to skin is really important to me and I want to breast feed so I'm worried about problems bonding and latching on. Also, I've been fully prepared for vaginal bleeding after a vaginal birth, what happens after a c-sec in that general area? Finally, what was your recovery like? I know it'll vary person to person but what did you find hard after? What could/couldn't you do? Sorry for so many questions, this is a last minute shocker to get used to!! 😕
