Insulin Resistance and Irregular Periods
I found out in July I had Insulin Resistance. My periods had gotten more irregular than usual and I was concerned. My OBGYN said that my periods weren't quite irregular enough and my symptoms didn't line up with PCOS just yet. I also tested negative for diabetes. So for now, I am just dealing with the Insulin Resistance. I opted for medication because they said it would help along with diet and exercise in our journey to conceiving our rainbow. I am so happy I opted for the meds. Since July my periods have slowly made their way down from 40+ days (they used to be 31 but for about 6+ months they had gotten very unpredictable). Last month I had a 29 day cycle. This month I had a positive OPK at cycle day 14 which is the first time I have gotten one that early in FOREVER. I've also had way less trouble losing weight. I am down 56lbs. I'm really happy with the regulating periods and weight loss but I am still nervous we won't get pregnant. We have been trying over a year since my miscarriage. Had anyone had luck conceiving while on Metformin? Is there anything I should know/try?
